Olive the Lagotto Romagnolo - 3 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Olive the Lagotto has completed her 3 week training stay. Olives owner wanted some help with her training after it had regressed recently.


Olive is a very excitable girl who struggles to focus around distractions. Her owners were also not that confident to let her offlead as she loves to follow scents and would run quite far. Only one of her owners let her offlead occasionally.


Olive is now much more engaged when she is out on a walk, she will check in with her handler frequently and won’t go as far. She is responsive to her recall even with distractions around. She can complete sit, down and wait cues aswell as emergency stop around distractions too, she is generally much calmer and able to focus.


Walks were not that enjoyable as Olive would pull on the lead a lot. She can now walk on a loose lead for long periods of time in a range of environments including town, garden centres and on walks.


We have worked hard to introduce calm into Olives daily schedule and she can now settle on her bed at home and settle inside cafes.
