Trinidad is a seaside city in Humboldt County, located on the Pacific Ocean 8 miles north of the Arcata-Eureka Airport and 15 miles north of the college town of Arcata.

It's all about the sea here: Hike to the top of Trinidad Head to watch for whales, go tide-pooling at Indian Beach, or touch the starfish at Humboldt State University's Marine Lab. The ideal spot to soak up this beautifully rugged stretch of coastline is Trinidad Pier, the state's northernmost oceanfront pier.
