Wagner "An Webers Grabe" played on Lätzsch Trombones

I wished to showcase my three beautiful Lätzsch trombones from the 1950's and 60's. Wagner wrote this short choral ode to commemorate the relocation of Carl. M. von Webers (1786-1826) remains from London to Dresden in 1844. It works equally well on trombones and especially these traditional German-style trombones.
The three trombones used were built by Herbert Lätzsch in Bremen. They are all marked Modell Kuhn after the famous trombone builder Franz Kuhn of Wuppertal, who was brought in after retirement by Lätzsch to assist in continuing and developing the design. These instruments were formerly very popular in Germany, and I hope to see a resurgence of interest in them. They have a unique and beautiful sound!
The two upper parts are played on a medium bore Weite 2 model, with interchangeable valve section. The lower parts are played on two large bore Weite 4 models, but with tenor and bass mouthpieces.
All the mouthpieces were made by Werner Chr. Schmidt in Markneukirchen. These are traditional German-style mouthpieces with smaller throats and long backbores than the American style mouthpieces in universal use these days.
