Tonight I am continuing with my Exploring Negative Space series! Im pouring on an 18x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artist Loft. My pouring medium is Mix Pour, you can email Krista directly to get your own Mix Pour at [email protected]
I have painted the sides and edges of my canvas with Permanent Blue Violet from Amsterdam.

Colors
Amsterdam
- Permanent Blue Violet
- Brilliant Blue
- Ultramarine Violet
- Permanent Red Violet
- Titanium White plus
DecoArt Satin Enamels
Pure White

Golden
- Prussian Blue

Pouring Medium:
MIx Pour
Paint + a bit of Water

There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.

I layer my cup and pour it, but as I tilt it out I dont really like the center and the Ultramarine Violet looks a bit muddy to me. I pour a couple ounces in the center to fix it, but still dont like it very much, and end up pouring the center a couple more times. In my Galaxy Within pour I had first experimented with just repouring the center, and since I liked the very defined edge I wanted to play with adding smaller cups in the center to see what effects it would create. I didnt really like what was going on after I had titled it a lot, I felt like I lost a lot of the composition that I liked... so I was happy when the last cup I put on there was a bigger puddle that I could stretch out. I do like the end result.
If you want to repour directly in the center you absolutely can, and remember that you don't need a lot of paint if you are only fixing the center, you only need an ounce or 2.
