Hello Friends! Welcome Back! I did a pour last week with the loop de loop embellishments called Wicked Paisley Waterfall, and I want to play with the loop de loop technique again, but with more subtle embellishments. I love Wicked Paisley, but I want something a bit more relaxing. Im using the same dark blue and white color palette again, refined down to just 4 colors.

When we were getting ready to shoot this video, I was thinking about a lot of things at once, and my attention was not as focused as it should have been.. and I made some mistakes. I am sharing this video in the hope that you guys can learn from my mistakes and more importantly how to recognize mistakes and correct them.

The first mistake I made was grabbing a canvas without really looking at it. I thought I was using a 24x24, when I actually had a 20x20 prepped and ready to use. For a 24x24 you need 21 ounces of paint, for a 20x20 you only need 16.

The second mistake I made was misjudging the size of the Split Cup I wanted to use.
I thought it was a 20 ounce Split Cup, but it was actually 32 ounces. So instead of only having a few extra ounces, I had 12 extra ounces and a flow extender and I poured into a puddle of gold. That canvas was heavy and the paint was moving very fast.

The last mistake was that once I decided to pour another cup I didnt tilt off more of the extra paint on the canvas before I poured the second cup. That would have helped a lot because then I would not have had to tilt off so much of the loop de loop and would have kept more of the beautiful lines. Using the 16 ounce cup was definitely a good decision!

Im using a stick to create the loop de loop embellishments.
