1995 Ford Crown Victoria Rear Axle Swap

As the last major drive train component needing to be swapped, the 8.8" rear axle and suspension assembly was removed from the wrecked car and installed in the white car. The video goes over many of the details that you need to keep in mind to avoid damage and get everything installed properly.

The hardest thing about the job is wrestling around with a large, heavy component while at the same time, attempting to get everything lined up properly so that the mounting bolts can slide right in.

This video will also be useful for those wanting to replace their standard springs with the higher rate springs found on police vehicles or vehicles equipped with the towing package.
