QUEST of the ELEGANT PARROT | first HIPCAMP experience

Glamping adventure on a windy weekend? Could we find the rare Elegant Parrot?

Come along with us as we stay at our very first Hipcamp (like airbnb but for camping experiences on private land). This Hipcamp promised a toilet, shower and a glamping room so it sounded pretty good for City slickers like us & we were super keen to see what it was all about. We don't mind roughing it a bit..... but the toilet facilities definitely did need a bit of an update (like a door!! LOL!)

The Hipcamp was in Tooan (near the Mt Arapiles National Park) where Elegant Parrots had been sighted. Elegant Parrots are very rare to see in Victoria so we were keen to get up there & have a look.

Elegant Parrots are very similar in look to a Blue-winged Parrot so we definitely had to make sure we could identify them correctly.
