A Thousand Horsepower on Just 260 Cubic Inches!

This almost certainly is the only 260 cubic inch, supercharged SB2 engine in existence. Engine builder Keith Dorton of Automotive Specialists (www.AutomotiveSpecialists.com) put it together to set a new record in the 260-inch class at Bonneville with a target speed of over 235 miles per hour--in a '34 Ford! The engine ran to 9,800 on the dyno but Dorton says he likely will set the rev limiter to 9,500 for runs on the salt just to be safe.
