Описание к видео Learn Liver Histology: The Basics You Need to Know

The liver is one of the largest organs in the body and with good reason, it's the centre of metabolic activity. This is the organ that stores glucose as glycogen, processes lipids and proteins, makes coagulating proteins for the blood, among many other functions.

This video takes you through the different cell types in the liver. Starting with a description of the blood supply by the hepatic artery and hepatic portal vein which deliver blood to sinusoids like by fenestrated endothelium and Kupffer cells. What's the difference between the Space of Disse and Canals of Hering? That's covered as well! What are the different zones of the liver lobule? The answers in there too.
