Myo-Reps are an awesome training tool that I think every lifter should be aware of. Myo-Reps are a fantastic way to get in quality training volume when your time is limited in the gym.

Myo-Reps have been around since the mid-2000s when Norvegian strength coach Borge Fagerli popularized this rep scheme and training methodology.

One of the goals of using Myo-Reps is cutting out "junk volume" by helping us to perform "effective reps" faster and in a concise, calculated manner. At Pheasyque Lab, we've been experimenting with Myo-Reps for a hypertrophy-focused block and our clients have loved them.

My best piece of advice when using Myo-Reps is to learn the framework for how they're intended to be used, then bake in aspects that make sense for your goals, skill level, and needs.

I'm still experimenting with different Myo-Rep schemes to find what works best for me in the context of my programming.

Personally, I've been really enjoying Myo-Rep work for my quads after squat days when I'm trying to accrue additional training volume. More than likely, you'll also find what muscles + exercises you enjoy using Myo-Reps more for.
