Vintage Peugeot Bicycle Restoration & Ride

I got this vintage Peugeot bicycle frame & forks with the headset, cranks, and front and rear derailleurs on eBay, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, and then my friend came to me needing a new bicycle... So I said give me a month and I surprised him with this restored Peugeot.

The new parts include; stem, bars, brake levers, brake & gear cables, bar tape, seat & seat post, brake, wheels & tyres (new 2nd hand), pedals and in the end after the video, I upgraded the rear derailleur to a new modern one as it wasn't shifting properly.

The frame had been previously drilled to take recessed brake nuts so I managed to fit the Miche brakes. I wanted to make it ride more like a modern road bike so it was more useable for my friend.

I cleaned all the metal parts with wire wool/sand blasted/wire wheeled and polished to restore them, cleaned and re-greased all the bearings.
