How to clone and VIN edit a 2005 Hyundai Sonata PCM using two unique Automotive Kit procedures

In this presentation we show how to use the Andromeda Research Automotive kits to perform a simple module clone then a detailed VIN edit. The clone procedure shows how the data from the defective PCM is read and then transferred into a salvage module which can then be installed directly into the vehicle with no additional programming. After the clone procedure we then show how to use two unique commands in the system buffer editor to program only the individual VIN digit positions without writing the entire VIN. We show how to use a special command called "INSPECT" to show which VIN number locations are different and how to then use the "SINGLE BYTE PROGRAM" command to change just those locations. We also show, as the module is removed from the enclosure, the effect that moisture had on the assembly which may have caused the module to fail.
