Before the Storm (All Themes Labeled) - Login Screen Music of WoW Battle for Azeroth

Описание к видео Before the Storm (All Themes Labeled) - Login Screen Music of WoW Battle for Azeroth

That's right, I've labeled and timestamped every single theme in this login screen track! If you want to know more about a specific theme, just read the little description underneath its timestamp down there.

If you're wondering about who actually made the login screen track itself, that would be Glenn Stafford. He composed the first minute as an original piece which combines Legends of Azeroth and Anduin's theme. For the rest of the track, he just edited together multiple different themes from the expansion.

What makes this login screen track significant is the fact that it's the first one that Russell Brower didn't have a hand in. Usually he was the one who would compose the login screen track for each expansion, but sadly he was removed from Blizzard in Shadows of Argus.

You can definitely feel the difference it makes when another composer tackles the login screen theme. I think Glenn did a pretty decent job, I just wish that he chose some more interesting themes to put here. Some of the themes like Windrunner, Islands Mystical, and Crimson Rise sound alright, but they don't seem interesting enough to have a place in the login screen track in my opinion.

Still though, what we got wasn't bad. I definitely appreciate the Freehold themes being back-to-back in the second half there.

0:00 - Legends of Azeroth (WoW Main Theme)
This is the main theme of WoW that Jason Hayes composed in vanilla WoW. Pretty much every login screen has referenced this theme in some way.

0:43 - Anduin's Theme
This is Anduin's theme, composed by Neal Acree in Legion, which has been mixed with Legends of Azeroth.

1:10 - Lordaeron Horde 1
This is the first theme that plays in the Battle of Lordaeron. It seems to use Sylvanas' BfA theme combined with some orc chanting.

1:40 - Lordaeron Horde 2
This is the second Battle of Lordaeron theme. This one references Shaping of the World, which is a theme Jason Hayes composed in vanilla WoW. Although in this version, it's pretty subtle.

1:56 - Zuldazar Intro
This is the iconic music that plays when you enter Dazar'alor in Zuldazar. Unfortunately, this theme was one of the ones in BfA that wasn't labeled for some reason and I don't know what the official title for this theme is.

2:56 - Islands Mystical
This is one of the themes that plays on island expeditions, usually on the more pretty/magical-looking islands.

4:29 - Crimson Rise
This is a theme that plays in the Crimson Forest and other Drust-related areas in Drustvar. Pretty spoopy!

5:28 - Kul Tiras Sky
This is one of the themes that plays general in Kul Tiras, mainly Tiragarde Sound and Stormsong Valley. Unfortunately the full version was never implemented in-game, but it can be heard on the official soundtrack. Albeit mushed together next to other Kul Tiras themes.

6:20 - Kul Tiran High Seas
This is one of the themes that plays in Freehold, mainly during boss fights. Despite playing in Freehold, the theme itself is often used for Kul Tirans in general.

7:30 - Freehold Combat
Another Freehold theme that plays during boss fights. This is a special track that was edited by Kory McMaster and combines Glenn Stafford's two Freehold themes, Outlaw Harbor and Freehold.

8:21 - Loa Bwonsamdi
This is one of the Loa intro themes that plays specifically for Bwonsamdi, our favorite Disney villain of yester year.

8:51 - Blood Sacrifice
This is one of the blood troll themes that mainly plays in Nazmir and Uldir.

9:50 - Windrunner
This is one of the themes that showed up during the Burning of Teldrassil. It seems to be an original composition that doesn't reference any of Sylvanas' other themes.
