Описание к видео Development of Tongue and Palate - Embryology [LEARN it the most SIMPLE way]

The development of tongue begins at week 4 of gestation while development of palate begins at 8 week of gestation.
The palate consists of primary and secondary palate. The primary palate arises from the fusion of the medial nasal processes along with the frontonasal process. The formation of the secondary palate is initiated after the formation of three outgrowths into the oral cavity. A single outgrowth that extends from the frontonasal process and paired outgrowths that extends from the two maxillary processes. These processes eventually fuses with each other and forms the palate proper.
The tongue has more than one origin. In that, its mucous membranes are formed from first, second, third and fourth pharyngeal arches. While the muscles of the tongue is derived from the occipital somites.
