In this video, I see if zone 2 training can be done on a Rogue Echo Bike. Air bikes are popular for high intensity interval training but can they be just as effective for low intensity steady state training?

Short answer. Yes.
I had a 60 minute workout on the Rogue Echo Bike, keeping my heart rate between 110 to 130 bpm which is my zone 2 range.
During my 60 min zone 2 low heart rate workout, I covered just under 20 miles and approx. 550 calories.

The workout was super easy, especially with the Rogue Echo Bike as it is easy to maintain a specific wattage or cadence.
After about an hour, the seat can become a bit uncomfortable but not enough to interrupt my workout or become unpleasant.

Research has shown that Zone 2 training (training done at 60-70% of your max heart) allows you to build an aerobic base, enhance your endurance, optimize your fitness, and unlock performance gains. While it is often overlooked as a modality of training best for endurance athletes, Zone 2 has enormous benefits for anyone, regardless of their fitness level or goals.
