When I acquired a small stack of Gene Krupa records, I was expecting to hear some hot drumming. It seems I must look elsewhere for that. I'm not sure I could even hear any drums, at all, on Side One, after the loud intro, and there's not much more on Side Two.

Still, it's a good band, and the vocals are fun. The first side seems like an attempt to duplicate the success of other nonsense songs, such as Mairzy Doats, that were successful for Ella Fitzgerald, in the mid-1940s. This song is not fantastic, but Anita O'Day gives it her all!
