Sade in the jungle! This is one of three singles released by J & J, who were Dutch-based producers Joris Vincken and Godwijn June Orlando Ray Rollocks. 'The Sweetest Taboo' (UK #31) was originally recorded by Sade and issued as the lead single from their second album, 'Promise', in 1985. This jungle re-work came along ten years later, initially backed on a white label 12" promo by a similar reinvention of another soul track, 'Sweet Love', originally by Anita Baker. On Kutting Edge Records, a label set-up specifically for this track, the commercial release dropped 'Sweet Love', possibly after discovering M-Beat Featuring Nazlyn's own similar #18 hit in the UK during December 1994. Vocals are credited to Secret Corner, presumably a pseudonym, but on 'Sweet Love', which was released as an A-side only in France, vocals came from hip house / pop rap singer Nikki Verbreyt. J & J's only other single, 'Wikked-A!!!', was a collaboration with London-based MC General Levy, but was released only in the Netherlands, France and Germany. Rollocks is the brother of Desiree Rollocks, AKA Eurohouse singer Daisy Dee.
