Exciting news! Last weekend we launched some pretty epic updates to our catering tools as well as a couple little delightful surprises in your Client Portal.

Here’s the rundown: live right now in your Venue Management accounts you can add upgrade pricing to specific items within a customer choice food, beverage, or equipment package. When you or your client selects an item with an associated upgrade charge, that amount will be added to the price per head as an upgrade - no more manual adjustments, it just happens! Important note here: this functionality only applies to customer choice packages where you are using the price per head pricing option.

Also in the catering tools (you asked, we listened) - you now have the option to hide individual items within a package on your proposals and invoices. You’ll find this option in the food, beverage, or equipment package under the setup display options.

Last (not least) - THIS update applies to ALL Planning Pod account types. We’ve added some great notifications in the Client Portal to enhance the way your client communicates with you. In both Floorplans and Food/Beverage your client now has the option to notify you and any other contacts associated with the event of changes, like making food selections or completing your seating chart, with just the click of a button.
