In this video we're gonna look at how you can get started creating events in your Planning Pod event management software account and using the events dashboard. So we're going to go to the main events area inside of your account by clicking on navigation button here and we're gonna start at the very top. So at the top you can add or duplicate an event by clicking on that button. To add a new event that is completely blank you would just add the information here. To duplicate an event you've already created you can select it from the list of active or archived events there. Here you can select or deselect the tools for which you want to have information or data duplicated and then select your new start date and then click Save and all that information from that existing event will be duplicated into a new event. Here's where you can do a quick search for items that are on the screen right there just by typing in the information of the event name or the type or you can do an advanced search. Here you can search for archived events or even sort. You can search events by tags There's a quite a number of options here for searching events an you can also save a search and use that saved search right there. You can also change the view right up here if you wish not to see it in the list view. We have a bunch of stat circles at the top that let you display a number of events or bookings or active or archived events. You can use the dropdowns there to set the date range for those searches and then once you hit view you can view all the events Say that I'm looking over the next 180 days or all the events that I've archived in my account under the currently viewing area you can again save the search if you want to save on what's right there on the page and you can even make it the default search so every time you go to the events area it's by default or you can just go back to show all active and then finally you can use the up and arrows to sort by items in the column. It's going to be either chronological order or alphabetical. I'm gonna go by show all active again and here are all my events. To go into an event I just go to the event I scroll to it and then I click on it once and it takes me to the event dashboard where I can access all the event tools. I can also navigate into various places. I'm gonna add a new event though I'm gonna add a new blank event right here and we're just going to type in the event name. I'm going to add the color and you add an event color because you'll use that color on the calendar. Then I'm gonna add a start date and start time and end date and end time where there's an event. I'm gonna click continue once I've done that I can select how I want to manage my attendees either through RSVPs or by selling tickets and registrations. I'm going to select RSVPs and once I'm done with that I'm gonna click on the Save button. This takes me to my new event dashboard at the very top here if I click on the name of the tool it allows me to immediately navigate to one of the other tools inside of the event like the forms builder or I can go back to the dashboard and if I want to go scroll down I can also find the tools list here and click on the name of the tool and get into it that way too. So those are two ways you can get into tools inside of your event dashboard. You can also switch an event easily. Right here I'm going to go to an event I've already been working in into the event dashboard and I'm going to go to it so here's that event dashboard for the event I've been working in.
