PART 5: Up the Ohio River: Weird Caves, Tell City and Christ of the Ohio! (7-11)

We start this video still in the town of Rockport, Indiana as we visit some really weird caves in a park along the Ohio River! The first one was like a baseball dugout, long, narrow and not too tall. But it was the second one where in 1808, a man and his family lived for 2 years! It wasn't very large, deep or flat. Hats off to those incredible pioneers!

At the end of the park was the launching point for Abraham Lincoln's first trip down the river to Louisiana. It was there he first saw slavery and decided he was going to do something about it.

Then, after visiting the downtown area, we headed into Tell City, Indiana to search out the murals we had read about. It wasn't quite what we expected and nothing to what's coming up in a future video.

Our final stop was at the Christ of the Ohio monument. There's an interesting story about it but I won't spoil it here!
