ORIGINAL INFO: You have to believe we are magic… but this comic sure isn’t.

RUMINATIONS: My feelings on Xanadu have actually changed significantly since the episode came out. I think listening to the soundtrack so much really got me to enjoy it more than I should. Plus when a lot of books I have to read for the show are dark, violent, and just unpleasant to look at, seeing something so wild and colorful and cheerful and fun is delightful. It still has its problems, of course, but it really helps that you’ve got such talented singers and musicians working on it and several of the songs ended up on my MP3 player.

A copy of the adaptation of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band eventually found its way to me (and not costing an arm and a leg to get it) and I have someone working on translating it for me, even going the extra step of editing the comic panels to put in the dialogue for the scanned version of it. When I review it, it should be awesome.

Here’s where I was more overtly laying hints for the movie, with many people assuming the Caelestis stuff had to do with the King of Worms arc. Of course, when it comes to my storylines I often lay down hints for stuff one or two storylines down the road, so it could’ve been for that, too. But laying down some groundwork for it at least got people a bit more hyped for its coming and whatever details Allen had in store for it. All of Allen’s stuff (this and the end of arc) was actually filmed on the same day, since he was going to be moving relatively soon to Texas. It all worked out, though – you wouldn’t realize he wasn’t there with how it was edited.
