There’s a song that is playing; you sink into sound
And you follow your mind down-- are things as good as they’re going to get?
You think of a friend that you’ve lost long the way
Knowing into her smile you could just fade away
Knowing love is a circle, 360 degrees
Knowing part of you dwells in the turns that had pleased her

You aren’t defined by relations as these, but you’re made well aware of the moments that breezed by
Caught like a child chasing your brother’s hand
In the parking lot after you’d played in the sand
