Divine Disorder | Pam Hogg | TEDxGlasgow

Описание к видео Divine Disorder | Pam Hogg | TEDxGlasgow

Although honoured with medals and scholarships from the GSA and receiving her MA from the Royal College in London, Pam is self-taught in fashion. Her unorthodox approach has helped her gain a reputation as a style rebel; and she cites disarray, disorder, disruption as drivers for her work. In her talk Pam will give an insight into her world – how struggle is transformed into creative force, imperfections are honoured, chaos is embraced, and the insurmountable is seen as just another barrier to be lifted.

Pam Hogg is a legendary fashion designer, rockstar and artist who appeared on the cover of the raw issue of i-D in 1989. Pam has supported Debbie Harry and the Pogues, is friends with Siouxie Sioux and Bobby Gillespie, and has had her fabulous fashions worn by everyone from Kylie to Rihanna. Scottish born and bred, and holding the Newbury Medal of Distinction from the Glasgow School of Art, Pam cuts a striking dash wherever she treads, is a fabulous raconteur, great fun and an incredible talent.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
