HESI Grammar Review and Tips

Описание к видео HESI Grammar Review and Tips

I recently took the Hesi A2 and wanted to share some grammar practice test questions. Most of the grammar questions were simply "which sentence is grammatically correct?" or "Which word/phrase is used incorrectly in this sentence?"

Topics to be aware of for Hesi Grammar:
- Subject / Verb agreement
- Independent Clause / Dependent Clause (look for key words like, "before", "as soon as", "although" to indicate the dependent clause: "Although he didn't like hospital environments, Mark visited his sick grandmother in ICU". The dependent clause is "Although....environments", the independent clause is all of the words after that)
- Good vs well
- Among vs between
- When to capitalize North ("in the North") vs "drive north for 5 miles"
- Who vs whom (use whom if it follows prepositions "to whom" "for whom" "with whom are you going to the movies?")
- When to use "I" vs "me"
- Become / became (She had become popular after winning a gold medal; She became popular after winning a gold medal -either is okay, but not "she had became popular".)

Let me know if you have any additional grammar topics you want to review, or questions about the Hesi grammar section. Good luck on your Hesi exam!
