DEVILS HOLE DEATH VALLEY NEVADA

In the Nevada desert, at Amargosa Valley, in a detached unit of death valley national park, part of the ash meadows complex is devils hole . Devils hole is a water field cavern (cave), habitat for the only natural occurring  population of the endangered pupfish.
On our way to Las Vegas. We field trip off the beaten path to see this wonderful place! Semi annual population counts and water monitoring are conducted to protect the pupfish.
Some earthquakes are known to trigger “desert tsunami“ here!

Nevada brothels are always interesting!
A interesting property for sale (to us anyways), Cottontail Ranch outside of Goldfield was once a booming brothel. Opened in 1967 and closed its doors in 2004, has now burned down September 2022. At Lida junction the property still remains for sale.
