GBO2 Re-GZ Custom (Post-Buff): Is it better than the Nu Gundam?!

Описание к видео GBO2 Re-GZ Custom (Post-Buff): Is it better than the Nu Gundam?!

This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed LV3 Re-GZ Custom on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 600-700 cost general that has a long list of weapons to constantly maintain midrange presence, a high DPS burst fire primary, a missile launcher with incredible damage, two instant staggers, a stat boosting Simple Biosensor ability alongside a powerful transformation mode that gives you a completely new set of weapons. Its weaknesses would be that it has poor melee resist without the part slots to meaningfully improve it alongside it having a fairly wide hitbox in MS mode thanks to the wings sticking out. This suit was recently buffed with +1000 HP, +100 beam rifle damage per level, 0.5 seconds beam rifle cooldown, 10 seconds beam rifle reload time, +100 missile launcher damage per level, better missile velocity, +100 arm grenade power per level, 5 seconds arm grenade cooldown, +100 waist beam gun power per level, 85% waist beam gun heat, +300 transformed mega beam power per level, 20 seconds transformed mega beam overheat time, LV2 Leg Buffer and LV2 Forced Injector starting from 650 cost. This is a huge list of buffs, mostly buffing the damage of the LV2-3 versions, but they are still serious improvements even for the LV1 Re-GZ Custom. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon at LV3 is a beam assault rifle with 800x3 damage, 18 ammo, 0.5 seconds cooldown, 10 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range and 20%x3 stagger value. This can deal incredible damage and stagger accumulation as long as you can accurately aim the bursts. It reloads fast so you will always have it available when you need it.
Its primary melee weapon at LV3 is a beam saber with 2750 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. This has just okay power with no special modifiers, but it is still useful to use in self defence.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 132 power, 60 ammo, 450 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 990 DPS and 6% stagger value. This staggers most suits in about 2.2 seconds, it also has lots of ammo and decent DPS. This is really effective to use while your beam rifle is reloading.
Its second sub weapon is an arm grenade launcher with 900x2 power, 4 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 12 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range and 10%x2 stagger value. This doesn't deal that much damage but has short cooldown and instant staggers. It is useful to continue stagger chains or to use as a self defence tool.
Its third sub weapon is a waist beam gun with 1000x2 power, 85% heat, 5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 400m range and 35%x2 stagger value. These stop to fire, but they instant stagger with pretty good stagger accumulation.
Its fourth sub weapon is a back missile launcher with 800 power, 6 ammo, 350 RPM, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 15% stagger value. These have very high damage but cannot stagger on their own. They can basically be confirmed at mid-range if you fire them after a stun.
Furthermore, it gets a whole range of new weapons with separate heat/ammo gauges while transformed. This gives you basically unlimited uptime if used correctly.

The LV3 Re-GZ Custom has 23000 HP, 30 ballistic resist, 31 beam resist and 16 melee resist. It has pretty high HP but suffers from poor melee resistance. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion and Fall Prevention system for defensive skills, alongside a 15% damage reduction legs buffer and a 30% reduction back buffer.
In terms of mobility it has 135 (195) walk speed, 215 (230) boost speed, 75 thrust and 72 (54) turning speed. This level of mobility is pretty good at 600-650 cost but it begins to fall off at 700 cost, so you have to be more careful with your positioning if playing past 650. It has LV2 Forced Injectors and LV3 Flight Control for mobility related skills.
It also gets LV1 Simple Biosensor. This activates at 25% HP and gives +20 beam resist, +10 ballistic/melee resist, +5 ranged modifier, +25 melee modifier, +5 walk speed, +5 boost speed, +15 turning speed, -20% thrust usage and LV2 Emergency Evasion.

In conclusion, I feel that the Re-GZ Custom has returned to meta status thanks to these buffs. Even over obvious competitors like Anksha, it has really good stagger accumulation, great ranged DPS and practically a second whole loadout while transforming. It is of course pretty vulnerable closer up but at the same time, I feel like a good player in this thing will make it hard for you to approach it in the first place. If you stick to maps with plenty of high up vantage points like Military Base or Arctic Base then I think this thing can do incredibly well. I think that it even rivals native 700 costers like Nu Gundam. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
