In this video, I will be sharing ultimate garlic bread recipe.

Garlic bread is one of the really popular and famous breads in Korea.
This recipe is inspired by a famous Korean bakery.
Light and soft bread and fragrant garlic flavor from the outside to the inside.

Garlic Baguette Bread
6 servings
Poolish dough
Bread flour 50g (¼ cup + 1 Tbsp)
Instant dry yeast 4g (1 tsp)
Honey 10g (1/2 Tbsp)
Lukewarm water 55ml (38-40C / 3 Tbsp + 2 tsp)

Main dough
Poolish dough whole
Bread flour 230g (1 cups + ¼ cup + 3 Tbsp)
Sugar 10g (2 tsp)
Salt 4g (1 tsp)
Powdered milk 10g (1 Tbsp)
Cold water 120ml (½ cup)

Garlic Butter
Unsalted butter 80g (¼ cup + 2 Tbsp)
Minced garlic 15g (1 Tbsp)
Honey 17g (1 Tbsp)
Salt 2g (1/4 tsp)

Garlic Sauce
Egg 1
Milk 100ml (¼ cup + 2 Tbsp)
Mayonnaise 40g (3 Tbsp)
Sugar 20g (1 Tbsp + 1 tsp)
Parsley 1/2 Tbsp
Minced garlic 1 Tbsp

📝 I highly recommend using a scale to measure the bread dough ingredients.
Please note that measuring cups is not a perfect measuring method for making bread.


1. First, prepare the Poolish dough. Put all the Poolish ingredients in a clean bowl and mix, cover the top and wait for 30 minutes.
2. In another clean bowl, mix all the dry ingredients of the main dough, then add Poolish dough, and cold water (in 3 portions).
3. Transfer it to the workbench and begin kneading the dough. Use the heels of your hands to push down and outward, lengthening and stretching the strands of gluten and dough fibers. This can take as little as 10-15 minutes. Transfer the dough to the clean bowl and cover the top. Let dough proof until puffy and doubled in size in a warm place (about for 1 hour).
4. Transfer the dough to the workbench. Divide the dough into 6 equal sizes and round it up smoothly. Cover the top and let it rest for 15 minutes.
5. After 15 minutes, use a rolling pin to stretch the dough and roll it tightly from top to bottom. Close the seam tightly and transfer to a baking sheet. Let dough proof until it 1,5-doubled in size in a warm place (About for 40-50 minutes).
6. Prepare the garlic butter. In a clean bowl, add soft unsalted butter at room temperature and the rest of the ingredients in order and mix. Put it all in a piping bag and set aside until needed.
7. Prepare the garlic sauce. In a clean bowl, combine room temperature eggs, milk, mayonnaise and the rest of the ingredients.
8. Before baking, score the top and spray a little water on the surface of the dough. Bake in an oven preheated to 200℃ (392℉) for 15 minutes (bake until light brown / leave the oven on).
9. After the baked bread is cooled, make 3 deep cuts. Squeeze the garlic butter between the sheaths and fill it. Then, dip the bread in a bowl with garlic sauce to evenly wet the entire surface. Transfer the bread back to the baking sheet and bake it for an additional 14 minutes at 200℃ (392℉).
