Functional Patterns is the ultimate form of compound movements. Our training incorporates motions that fire multiple muscles at the same time because that’s how your body moves in reality.

Training in isolation is short-sided, since muscles in the body actually function as integrated chains. And the more you can integrate those chains of muscles when you workout, the higher the probability those muscles are going to function correctly whenever you decide to exercise or move around.

This is something that no one outside of FP has been able to pull off. We’re so precise with the techniques and training we employ, that we change the way you move at a fundamental level. It’s why we’re able to rehab people’s pain points and get them to increase performance at the same time.

The idea of training compound movements as priority over isolated motions is good in theory, although where the industry fails is in its application. If compound movements were being done correctly then we wouldn’t see such high rates of injury coming from these traditional approaches.

Moving correctly can be a complicated, although the principals we teach show you exactly how to move so you can perform compound movements minus the risk of injury.
