34067 Tangmere with The Settle & Carlisle Steam Special (The Northern Belle) from Carnforth to Carlisle over the West Coast Mainline and returning over the Settle & Carlisle line to Hellifield on Saturday 31st August 2024. The tour started and finished diesel top and tailed with 57315 and 57313 Scarborough Castle at Hull.
Steam came on at Carnforth and off at Hellifield from where the train headed back to Hull after reversing at Blackburn with the two diesels.
The train is seen from Greenholme on the climb to Shap on the West Coast Mainline on the outward leg and then at Waitby Rock Cutting on the return via the S&C. 57313 Scarborough Castle was on the rear during the steam hauled section of the trip.
