Описание к видео The Journey of Bhagirathi river | Origins of GANGA: Part 2

Bhagirathi is the one of the two major headstreams of the river Ganga / Ganges, the lifeline of India.
The other is Alaknanda, watch a similar video about it here:

--------------
Bhagirathi flows in the hilly region of Garhwal division for its 205 km long course.
The river is considered the traditional headstream of the Ganges, originating at the terminus of Gangotri Glacier called Gomukh. Ahead, it receives its several tributaries, Jadh Ganga, Asi Ganga, Bhilangana etc. The river is heavily dammed, also feeding the highest Dam of India, Tehri.
This video takes you on a journey from the source of the river at Gomukh to the destination Devprayag, where it meets Alaknanda, with a lot more in between.
Enjoy!
