What does the Wessex Wyvern tuba sound like?

We’re hoping you can help us put it into words! The Wyvern tuba is one of our favourites here at Wessex Tubas and Brass, and we would love to hear what you think of it in the comments of this video!

A few weeks ago we had Will Druiett and Jonathan Hodgetts at the Wessex Warehouse in Andover, UK to create some demo videos for our Tubas! Our main focus was providing you with a comparison video, but while we had the Tuba’s we were going to be comparing off the shelf: we decided they each deserved their own video as well!

In this video, Will and Jonathan provide a brief history of the Wyvern Tuba, and as always: they were both able to offer their feedback on the instrument :)

Will also provides us with a brief performance which is recorded using an Neumann TLM 103 Microphone, and a Scarlett Focusrite interface, to ensure that we were able to capture the true tones of the Wessex Wyvern tuba!

We’ve got loads of videos already recorded and ready for release, but we are always looking to the future and are curious to know what people want to see next.
