3 Carlos Santana Licks From 1989

Описание к видео 3 Carlos Santana Licks From 1989

Here's the next episode fo Three-For-All with 3 Carlos Santana Licks From 1989.
Carlos Santana is an important guitar legend for a number of reasons, but for me personally, he was the key to helping me understand modes and modal scales, and once he helped me unlock the mystery in my head surrounding the Dorian mode, my fingers and mind were ready to tackle and absorb the remaining modal scales in front of me at that time, not to mention the additional scales and modes I learned and picked up in the future.

This lesson focuses on a number of ideas that came from a live concert in 1989 which was a benefit concert for earthquake victims in Watsonville, CA. The ideas shared here range from melodic phrases that skillfully blend that natural minor (a.k.a. Aeolian) with harmonic minor, along with some additional tasty licks, but we're also hitting a special segment focusing on the differences between Dorian and Aeolian, and some of the secrets that Santana has had up his sleeve since the 1960s and how you can tap into these tasty modal sounds in your own music and playing.
