Jams, jellies and preserves are loaded with ingredients we cannot even pronounce. But I assure you'll be able to pronounce and will recognize each ingredient in this jam.

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds of fresh strawberries
4 cups of white sugar
1/4 cup of lemon juice

DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Crush strawberries in wide bowl until you have 4- cups of mashed berries
STEP 2
Combine mashed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a large stock pot; stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Increase heat to high and bring mixture to a full rolling boil. Continue to boil, stirring often, until the mixture reaches 220 degrees F (105 degrees C)
STEP 3
Check doneness after 10-15 minutes by dropping a spoonful of jam onto a very cold plate, let sit 1-2 minutes, if jam starts to gel then it is ready but if still thin and runny, let cook an additional 5-minutes.
STEP 4
Transfer jam into hot sterile jars, filing to within 1/4 inch of the top. Screw on lids and screw rings tightly
STEP 5
Bring large pot of water to boil. Place jars in rack and place rack at bottom of the pot and fill with additional boiling water to fully cover jars. Bring to a rolling boil, cover and process for 10 minutes. Remove the jars from the pot and let rest for 12-24 hours in a cool dark area
