Play the Bassline | A Fresh Approach to "Help Me, Baby"/"Green Onions"

Описание к видео Play the Bassline | A Fresh Approach to "Help Me, Baby"/"Green Onions"

Most diatonic harmonica players use a C harp in 2nd position (cross harp) to play “Help Me, Baby”. It’s fine for soloing but if you want to play the iconic bass/guitar line, the C harp won’t work without an overblow. In this video, I’ll show you how to solo and play this bassline on 3 other key harps.

If you can play “Help Me, Baby”, you can also play the famous instrumental tune “Green Onions”, which has the same chords and bassline.

“Help Me, Baby” by Sonny Boy Williamson, 1963
“Green Onions” by Booker T. & the M.G.’s. 1962

The harmonicas I used in this video: Hohner Golden Melody (C), Hohner Rocket (Low F), Hohner Marine Band customized by Joe Filisko (Bb), Hohner Thunderbird (Low Eb)
