SWITZERLAND: BRITAIN'S PRINCE ANDREW CELEBRATES HIS 38TH BIRTHDAY

Britain's Duke of York, Prince Andrew, is spending his 38th birthday with his daughters and ex-wife in Switzerland.

Queen Elizabeth's second son is on a skiing holiday in Verbier.

Prince Andrew joined his ex-wife and daughters on the slopes - to pose for the world's press.

Their daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, were already on holiday with their mother before their father flew out to join them to celebrate his birthday.

But the trip hasn't been all smiles.

Earlier, Sarah Ferguson, who has kept the title Duchess of York, chipped a shoulder bone while heading down the slopes.

The 38-year-old Weight Watchers spokeswoman was following her daughter, seven-year-old Eugenie, when she fell.

Ever-resilient, she managed to pick herself up and finish down the slope on her own, despite immense pain.

Ferguson is accompanied on this trip by close friend Count Gaddo della Gherardesca, an Italian aristocrat, and ex-boyfriend Paddy McNally.
