In this video:
It is essential to explain that DENVER is administered to determine the child’s current developmental status, that the test is not an IQ test, and that the child is not expected to pass all of the items administered.
Order of testing:
Should be flexible. The sequence according to responsiveness of the child.

Easily tasks first
Start from items that fall completely to left of the age line and continue to right.
Number of items to be given:
In each sector, administer at least three items nearest to and totally to the left of the age line and every items intersected by it.
Continue to administer items to the right until 3 failures are recorded
If the child is unable to perform any items in step1 (failure, refuses, no opportunity), administer additional items to the left side until the child passes 3 consecutive items.
