Ah, imagine removing the foil of your new mobile phone's screen 😏 Feels soothing, doesn't it? But the cab interior of an 83-ton, Siemens Smartron locomotive is even better! Let's go! ⬇️

⚠️ No, locomotives are normally not shipped in boxes. But protective foil removal is still part of the therapeutic process called unboxing, right? 😉

In this video, shot and produced by BackOnTrack Studios, you will witness the unwrapping process of a Siemens Smartron locomotive, which took place shortly after its arrival from 🇩🇪 Munich, Germany to 🇧🇬 Ruse, Bulgaria.

🛤 The long trip ended in Ruse marshaling station, where Smartron 80 019 (192 019) of PIMK Rail was un-sandwiched from a 🇦🇹 Rail Cargo Carrier train and transferred to its front. Together with ÖBB's "Taurus" 1116 039, the brand new Smartron would then travel further South all the way to Dimitrovgrad, where its first train was waiting to be picked up.

🔁 A change of direction at Kaspichan station would leave it in the tail. Finally, a stop at Zavet station lets us have a peek inside, while the locomotive is being started up...
