End result of running in your subwoofer DD Audio 815F

Описание к видео End result of running in your subwoofer DD Audio 815F

The end result of running on your subwoofer! Finally after 6 hours of pretty decent run on play time, allowing the subwoofer to free air, the results are quite telling.

Alot of subwoofer owners usually give it hard straight out of the box saying that a subwoofer is run in. I'm not sure where this thinking comes from but here at Violet Automotive, we like to work with proof to back up our findings and believe we have some answers.

As per manufacturer specification on their website, the subwoofer reads Fs 34hz. Straight out of the box and in previous videos we showed a brand new sibwoofer showing an Fs of 45hz.

After 6 hrs of run time we did the test again and found our new Fs showing to be 39hz. It means that with at least another 6 hours of free air, we could get it to at least 34 to 36hz range.

The importance of running in a subwoofer cannot be stated any more than what we have stressed. You end up saving yourself weeks and months of play time trying to get the subwoofer to loosen up which is done faster via free air, than playing in a normal enclosure.

Also, the run in time to heat up coils, spider, glues etc allow them some time to bake in sooner than waiting for normal play time. All these factors come into play to show the importance of extending the life of your subwoofers or any of the DD Audio product range of speakers.
