Hong Kong 1998

Back in 1998 we went to Hong Kong for the 2nd time (first time in 1996). This is a "VLOG" from that vacation even before VLOGs existed ... We filmed it with a DV-camera and then transferred it to a digital format. Quality is definitely not high-level but I actually think that adds a certain nostalgic feel to the video.

Back then we thought Hong Kong and New York were the two best cities in the world. HK really felt like the most vibrant city on earth. The energy was incredible. We went there again a number of times but haven't been there since 2015.

The video mostly cover typical tourist places. We stayed at Holiday Inn Golden Mile and The Regent Hong Kong.

You can spot some 90s things in the video - we used a pay-phone to call home and we're talking about a cyber cafe we visited just to be able to browse the Internet and check mails ..
