Getting Line Out To Start A Spey Cast

This week’s RIO Fly Fishing Tip shows how to get enough fly line outside your rod tip to make a Spey cast. One of the hardest things for new Spey casters to pick up is how to go from a very short line, with the the fly line on the reel, to have enough line outside the rod to make a good Spey cast. In this video Simon Gawesworth shows a couple of quick, efficient ways to get to that point.
