This is a back dated trip. I had a lot going on in my life when I took this trip to my old favorite Nueces Bay Marsh and just didn’t have (or make) the time to create this video. The weather started off with some pretty heavy rain, but conditions on this improved throughout the day. There was plenty of action and I actually left some footage out because the video was just too long! Most of the fish were on the smaller side, but they were really fun to catch and I was able to sight cast several. I took one redfish to eat and again, Chickenboy was the bait of choice. I really haven’t found anything that works better out there so I just stick with my old friend. I had a couple of shots at what I believe were baby tarpon and got one to bite, but tarpon are tough adversaries, hooking one doesn’t mean you actually catch the damn thing.

Birds in this video include the brown pelican, roseate spoonbill, and white ibis.
