Wari Chora:Swimming Through; South Garo Hills, Meghalaya Northeast India

Wari Chora is situated in South Garo Hills, around 5 Kms from Emangre village. It is rough road from Emangre village to the parking area but only two wheelers and
4×4 SUV can reached to that spot. There
are few shops selling water, fruits & eatables in the parking area from where the trekking starts to Wari Chora. You have to trek down around 1.5 Km to reached Wari Chora. It is such an amazing place. The waters are crystal clear and it has beautiful rock formations. The Wari which in Garo language means pool is quite long & narrow.
The length might be around 150 meters.
It has two sections, the lower pool area gets connected with the upper pool area through a small land area in the middle but if you explore more then there might be more pool areas either upstream or down streams.
There are Home stays in Emangre village for tourist from far away places or for those who wants to spend the night. Emangre is a tourist hot spot from where you can explore to many tourist places like Renang Dare(Waterfall), Gongja Dare, Jadesil fish sanctuary, Jawa wari(pool), Aginma wari, Dombe wari(on the way to Wari Chora),
Hot springs around Nengkong village(situated around 8Kms before reaching Emangre). To avoid tourist crowding if possible kindly visit in week days. It is a must visit place in Garo Hills.
