Bomber Raid review. Classic Game Room reviews BOMBER RAID for Sega Master System from 1988 by Activision. Bomber Raid is a vertical scrolling 2D SHMUP (shoot em up) airplane shooter like Capcom's 1943 or Star Soldier. You pilot a jet plane (maybe?), that judging by the cover looks like an SR-71 Blackbird, but in the game looks like a P-51 or Spitfire. Mow down enemies with your machine gun fire that can be upgraded by collecting the P power ups.
