Princess Carolyn: The Underdog of Bojack Horseman.

From the moment we got an episode all about her, I was completely in love. She is the definition of "mother". I was so invested in her story right from the get-go, and I never lost interest. Watching her struggle to find happiness for herself, while simultaneously working harder to find happiness for everyone else, was extremely relatable and, I think, very tastefully done.

They really know how to write characters with walls up, who aren't necessarily ready to purge the emotional depths of their souls. But they are still able to get across their pain in extremely simple, but effective ways. While she tries to cover it up with work, even we are able to tell how she's feeling...with NO live action facial expressions. It really speaks to the storytelling and dialogue. It HAS to be convincing or it won't work!
