At least 15 people have died after record rains and heavy flooding struck the southern Indian state of Telangana.

The state’s capital Hyderabad was badly hit, with houses collapsing and cars and trucks being washed away by the floods.

Over 9.6 million people across south Asia have been affected by severe floods this year, with hundreds of thousands struggling to access food and medicines.
