The History of the Atlantic Coast Conference: College Sports' East Coast Nerds

Описание к видео The History of the Atlantic Coast Conference: College Sports' East Coast Nerds

One of the most historically significant conferences in NCAA history lies along the eastern coast of the United States. But with new additions in California and Texas rendering the "Atlantic Coast" name of the conference a little funny-looking, if not moot, the history of this conference---once based in the heart of Greensboro, North Carolina---becomes one to examine in the modern lens.

From bowl bans in the SoCon to the Old Gray Fox to high school kids watching the ACC basketball tournament during class, the ACC's been through a lot. But the land of academics and basketball has a lot more to the story than what meets the eye.

Come along with me as I take a short walk down the ACC's storied history, focusing on the major moves of the conference as well as the championships and big names that made it who it's perceived to be today.
