"The term “head banger” is not usually associated with the music of Beethoven. However, for this particular performance of this particular piece, I think it may apply. Never have I heard a chorus sing anything so fast and violently as this one does here. I wish I had been alive in 1967 to have seen this concert at Severance Hall. George Szell and The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus blow the roof off the place. The chorus was prepared by Robert Shaw. I hope you enjoy the last section of the Credo (cray-dough) from Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis (miss-ah sol-em-ness)!
