Mid Wales Bothy Tour

Visiting Moel Prysgau, Claerddu, Cwm Lleust Bach, Nant Rhys & Nant Syddion in a single ride.

Living in the Cambrian Mountains, and with a love of adventures and bikepacking, I have stayed in all of the public bothies in Mid Wales, but I always had the idea of creating a route to visit them all.

Along the way a look at each, to check the condition, and a little guide for those who may wish you use them responsibly in the future.

What is a bothy?
A simple, usually abandoned, shelter in a remote location where the owners have given certain permission for its use.

All except Claerddu in the video are managed by the Mountain Bothies Association, who have the following code:
- Respect the Bothy
- Respect Other Users
- Respect the Surroundings
- Respect Agreement with the Estate
- Respect the Restriction On Numbers
