Pre-Pan Celtic - Visit to Penrhos Isaf Bothy

Just 7 days to go until the biggest event planned this year, and the last opportunity to head out, and test some kit and the bike while also visiting an MBA bothy that I have been meaning to for a while.

Pan Celtic is a self-supported ultra-cycling event, now in its 5th (and final) year with a route that changes annually. Stats for 2024 will be ~2400 kilometres, and 30,000 metres of climbing with a route that starts with a full lap of the Isle of Mann before heading to North West England, riding through the Lake District and up to Scotland, hugging the West Coast and onto a few islands - More info on the event here - https://pancelticrace.com/ultra/2024/

Penrhos Isaf is a bothy within Coed y Brenin forest, close to Dolgellau. It is usually a busy one, but I had the place to myself. It was clean, with good facilities and in a beautiful area.
