ఏపీ ప్రభుత్వం ఆర్ 5 జోన్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేయడంపై అమరావతిలో రైతుల నుంచి వ్యతిరేకత ఎదురైంది. ప్రభుత్వం విడుదల చేసిన గెజిట్ నోటిఫికేషన్ వల్ల తమ భూములు ఎక్కడి నుంచి లాక్కుంటారోనన్న ఆందోళన రైతుల్లో నెలకొంది. ప్రభుత్వ నిర్ణయం అన్యాయమని, రైతుల జీవనోపాధికి తీరని నష్టం వాటిల్లుతుందని వాదిస్తూ సీనియర్ న్యాయవాదులు దేవదత్ కామత్, వీఎస్ఆర్ ఆంజనేయులు ఏపీ హైకోర్టులో రైతుల తరఫున వాదనలు వినిపించారు. అయితే ఇరుపక్షాల వాదనలు విన్న కోర్టు వారి పిటిషన్‌ను కొట్టివేసింది. ఈ నిర్ణయంతో చాలా మంది రైతులు తమ సమస్యలను ప్రభుత్వం పట్టించుకోకపోవడంతో నిరాశ, నిస్పృహలకు లోనవుతున్నారు.
